Collection: David Lloyd

Over the last three decades, David Lloyd’s artistic process has evolved to where he trusts his paintings to guide their own creation. Reacting to each mark being made, he allows a painting grow organically, slowly revealing itself over time. By incorporating a wide variety of media such as wood, canvas, paper, velvet, oil and acrylic paint, encaustic, felt, fiberglass and resin, Lloyd strives to create unexpected collisions between disparate materials. David Lloyd graduated from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and has exhibited extensively both domestically and internationally. His work is in the collections of numerous institutions such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Orange County Museum of Art, San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Getty Center, as well as private collections worldwide.
