Collection: Sebastian Blanck

Documenting the small, intimate moments in life, Sebastian Blanck’s work is comprised of portraits of loved ones, fellow artists & musicians, and his children at play. Blanck is known for both his oil paintings and his distinct collage technique that layers painted paper and watercolor onto stretched paper. His color use and draftsmanship vibrantly capture moods and personalities that convey great familiarity with his subjects. Blanck has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally including solo shows at Ille Arts (Amagansett, NY), Dowling Walsh Gallery (Rockland, ME), Piggott Gallery (Jackson Hole, WY), Baldwin Gallery (Aspen, CO), De Buck Gallery (New York, NY), Dubner Moderne (Lausanne, Switzerland), and Wetterling Gallery (Stockholm, Sweden). He received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and served as a visiting artist at American Academy in Rome. Sebastian lives and works in New York City.
